NCC Firing Practice – 1(P) Naval Unit, Puducherry
The NCC Naval cadets of RRU Puducherry Campus actively participated in a structured Firing Practice training programme conducted on 10th, 11th, and 30th December 2025 at 1 (P) Naval Unit NCC, Lawspet, Puducherry , with a total of 17 cadets taking part in the exercise. The training provided the cadets with valuable hands-on expe rience using the .22 rifle , enabling them to understand the fundamentals of marksmanship in a controlled and disciplined environment. Prior to the live practice, cadets received detailed briefings on weapon safety protocols , proper firearm handling , correct firing posture , breathing control, aiming techniques, and standard firing procedures. Under the supervision of trained NCC instructors, the cadets practiced firing drills that emphasized accuracy, focus, and adherence to safety norms.
